moonhoney hosts a fully comprehensive, virtual certification program that covers everything from Birth to Business. Trainees can expect to be prepared to support families through birth, successfully establish social media presence, and gain clients. Upon completion, all trainees will officially be Birth Doulas.
What is Birth to Business?
“Birth to Business covers everything from conception through pregnancy & birth, as well as all the necessary tools to create a successful Doula Business. When I completed my Doula Trainings, I spent hundreds of dollars on resources and courses to grow and market my business. Then I spent thousands on marketing tools that I did not need.
In this training, you will learn from my mistakes and have a toolbox of things that will help you along your way. I believe that doula trainings should be more comprehensive and give you the resources you need to not only be a quality doula, but also run a quality business.
You can expect to gain deeper knowledge of how to support a family through such a beautiful and personal experience. You will understand the importance of trauma-informed care in the Doula industry. You will learn the ins and outs of birth plans, postpartum support, working with midwives, doctors and nurses, and fighting Imposter Syndrome.

Who Is this course for?
This course is for passionate, ambitious future doulas who love birth and have a deep level of care for birthing families. This is also great for current doulas who want to deepen their practice. No prerequisites required.
How Much Does It Cost?
This training is available at a total cost of $675. The initial deposit of $100 secures your spot in the training and is non-refundable. The remaining balance must be settled prior to the start of the training. Payment Plans are available upon request!
How Long Does it Take?
This training has three components: a live component, self-paced work and an online course. You will complete the live portion and the online course in 5 weeks time. While some portions of your Self-Paced Work will align with the units, other portions may be completed following the training. Certification usually takes more time.
How Can I Prepare for the Training?
You can prepare by getting started on the required reading. You can start brainstorming what you’d call your business and narrow down who your ideal client would be. Get familiar with local birthing places and offerings.
How Do I Become a Certified Doula?
Certification is optional. Should you choose to certify, you will need to complete all components of the training + the Required Reading. You will complete Book Reports on your readings. You will also be required to tour 2 birth places and document your experience. You will need to acquire at least 12 hours of Doula support.

Q: Are the sessions virtual?
A: Yes, all sessions and requirements are virtual so you can take this training from anywhere in the world.
Q: What if I cannot make a live session?
A: Attending all sessions is extremely important so please prioritize this training. However, if you must miss a session, you can make arrangements with Ciarra.
Q: What if I don’t have the money right now?
A: This work is important. You’ll need to secure your spot by paying your deposit, but your remaining balance can be split up into multiple payments.
Q: Will I be certified at the end of the course?
A: Those who wish to certify upon completion of the course requirements may do so. Some may need additional time Certification is not required.
